The Beauty of Bumi Organic Skincare

Writer: The Feminist FoodieThe Feminist Foodie

This week I was lucky enough to be gifted some of the Bumi Organic Beauty range. I've been using it for a few days now and I thought I should share with you how I've found them

... Because, spoiler alert, I totally love them!

I've always loved skincare but I used to go for the big brands - Estée Lauder (before I realised they tested on animals!), Pixi, Glamglow, The Ordinary, the list goes on. Bumi was the first small batch, all natural, vegan products I've used. I was a little worried it wouldn't be powerful enough to clean my skin as I am used to whacking on The Ordinary's acid exfoliators but I can safely say it packs more of a punch than most.

Product 1

Face Polish: Juniperberry, Sage, Hemp & Volcanic Ash

Description: Earthy and sweet, Juniperberry and Sage essential oils have been used for thousands of years to cleanse and purify with their antiseptic properties and calming aromatherapy benefits. Fine bamboo and volcanic ash gently exfoliate to eliminate dirt and dead skin, whilst hemp oil leaves your skin soft to the touch.

My Review: This is officially my new favourite face scrub. It feels seriously gritty yet gentle, it really gets into your pours but when you wash it off there's absolutely no dryness... And I mean none. It's like I've applied a face oil and not a scrub. All my dead skin has gone and any tiny imperfections have been scrubbed away. It's kept away any spots before my holiday, WINNER! I couldn't be happier with it - no drying, just purifying and soft! Love it!

Product 2

Night Repair: Broccoli, Cucumber & Rosehip

Description: Full of vitamins and minerals, organic cucumber seed and broccoli seed oils have powerful anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and emollient properties. Hemp, rosehip and evening primrose oils repair damage caused by everyday wear and tear, leaving your skin feeling glowing, fresh and ready to face another day.

My Review: My initial thought was 'my god this is oily', so I was a little unsure whether I'd be a greasy mess in the morning but by the time I woke up, I knew I loved this product too; it had totally soaked in. I had a quick refresh with my Pixi Vitamin C toner to remove any excess moisture and I felt ready for the day with super soft glowy skin!

All in all, my first encounter with Bumi was even better than I thought! I'd urge all of you to check them out on Instagram @bumi.naturals. The tiniest bit of their products goes a long way, they're incredible quality and they're better for the environment - so give them a try💚.
